About Institute of Management Technology

Founded in 1980 Institute of Management Technology (IMT) has been a pioneer in providing quality Management Education in the country. IMT is consistently placed among the top 10 Business schools of India. Its core strengths stem from its strong faculty, research base, high quality students and excellent industry interface.

Having the vision and deep understanding of new educational challenges emerging from globalization IMT started providing Distance Education Programs in Management through its Centre for Distance Learning, (IMT-CDL).

IMT-CDL started its activities in 1986 with a modest strength of 250 students. Today there are over 35000 students spread over a worldwide network of study Centres. In its effort to reach the vast universe of working professionals, IMT-CDL has been contributing to the eLearning revolution over the last 5 years by making distance education, a more vibrant and rewarding experience. By leveraging the technological benefits of eLearning, IMT-CDL aims to meet working professional’s needs to learn continuously and upgrade their skills as new global business challenges emerge.

The institute was established in 1986 and is offering Distance education programs for last three decades. IMT - CDL has been recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC), Ministry of HRD, Government of India, vide their letter No. EC/Recog/IMT/07/5966, dated 4th October, 2007 for offering distance education programs. This recognition brings with it further credibility to IMT-CDL programs and their quality.
